Literature Text

It didn't take long for the young man to gain balance, though Elizabeth had to help him walk around. Not long after, they left the department store.
The man walked strangely, slouched over, slow. Dewitt was curious about the man. The thought that there were people inside those things was sickening, so he ignored the gender of the man and had taken to calling him "it".
They walked out, Elizabeth held (Y/N)'s hand to lead him out and make sure he didn't fall again, but when he saw the body of Izzy, he ran to her and held the poor child in his arms. His voice shifted from that of a humans to the wails of a monster. He groaned to the body in his arms to wake up, but there was no way she could.
"What the hell is that?" Dewitt exclaimed.
Elizabeth stared at the young man as he hovered over the young girl's body.
"He's... that?" She herself had trouble believing this man was the monster that protected those girls, the little sisters.
"Izzy..." He whimpered.
"She's not getting up, leave her." Dewitt was the fist to speak, "You don't seem to grasp the concept of death." He growled. "But what should I expect from a mindless--"
"Dewitt..." The young man growled back, "I'm... not... mindless."
Things became tense between the two until Elizabeth stepped in between the two, "Enough. We need to keep moving." She said, "We have to leave her, (Y/N)."
He looked down at the girl in his arms then back to Elizabeth, "Okay." He said and set her down softly. He stood up and let the woman take his hand again. He glanced back at the little sister.
It's alright Izzy. You can sleep now, I'll find the ban people.

-Dewitt POV-
It set down the body with care, it was strange to see so much affection come from a monster. He stood up and faced us, its eyes were like none I've ever seen before, they were almost glowing, and I could swear that they changed color every time it looked at me. Green when he looked to me and yellow to Elizabeth. I will never understand what that meant.
"Where... to?" It asked.
"The lower Fontains. I'm sure you know you're way there, right?" Elizabeth replied.
It nodded and pointed to an elevator, though we couldn't open it earlier. "Never been... always been too big." It said, I could hear a smile in the voice. I wonder what his smile looked like. Was it nice? I shook my head at the thought. It spared a few blank glances at the armor that laid only a few feet away from the body.
He walked more upright now, probably gaining balance. He placed his hand on a black pad next to the door which seemed to have no purpose, but then the doors slid open quickly. He made a small pleased and proud noise, as if he was happy that it opened for him, even without the suit.
We stepped in and were rushed off to the lower Fonatains, god only knows what we'll find there. He had kept glancing at me, like he had in the department store. It was annoying.
"What happened to you?" Elizabeth asked. The looked at flashed across his eyes seem pained, it was a sensitive subject.
"I... got sick, too much..." He pointed to some scars and marks on his arm, they looked like plasmid injections. "Tested... grafted into the suit." He replied, though it was clear he was trying to say more as he pointed to marks along his body like his arms neck and collar bone.
"Was it your choice?" I decided to ask. Then there was a long painful silence, he looked to me, yellow eyes fading to green.
He replied with a simple "No."
